Dear study teams,
This is just a short mail, to give the ongoing view of national recruitment to PEARL and SELINA as we run into this series on bank holidays and celebrations (may the sun shine for us all). Though we attach tables and graphs below — some of you may even enjoy looking at graphs and data as a break from the many “Royal Processions” to come 😊
We’ve been busy sending out shipments to replace expiring Li-Hep and PAXgene tubes over the last couple of weeks. We’re aware of some delays with the post but please let Jenni and Emily know if you haven’t received further supplies and your current tubes have either expired (Li-Hep on 2nd April) or are due to expire soon (PAXgene tubes on 30th April).
Recruitment update
Delighted to say that we are now at 880 patients for PEARL and 49 for SELINA -so a heartful thanks -still much to be done, and intensity may actually increase as follow up visits are now commencing. We will be developing strategies to help with tracking of the follow up visits where possible. Aintree and Plymouth are giving us at Oxford a “run for our bucks” to stay out ahead in PEARL, and Leeds doing especially well for SELINA -so a special shout out for these teams — though every patient counts are we are grateful for all.
