Jane McKeating

Jane is Professor of Molecular Virology at the University of Oxford in the Nuffield Department of Medicine and is a founding Fellow of Parks College.  Jane is internationally recognized for her work on the early infection events that define tropism of clinically important human viruses and pathways regulating viral-associated pathology.  Current projects focus on hepatitis B and C viruses, the leading drivers for hepatocellular carcinoma  and the interplay between hypoxia and circadian signalling pathways in regulating virus replication.  Jane is evaluating hypoxia biological "signatures" that will be evaluated in blood of patients in the DeLIVER study, to understand how hyposia may contribute to the development of detection of HCC.
