Isabel Macdonald

Isabel is Director of Scientific Operations at Oncimmune’s Nottingham laboratories where she is responsible for product development, protein manufacturing and operations at the site.  

A chemistry graduate with a background in molecular biology and protein structure function, Isabel gained her PhD in Biological chemistry at Sheffield University prior to undertaking post-doctoral positions at Leicester University and the Jenner Institute at The University of Oxford. She has worked at Oncimmune for 12 years, during this time she has she developed the high throughput cloning, protein expression and purification platforms as well as establishing the Company’s in-house protein manufacturing facility.  

Isabel now leads all of Oncimmune’s design and development initiatives including EarlyCDT® Lung and new EarlyCDT indications.   

As an industrial partner of the DeLIVER program, Oncimmune will evaluate the diagnostic performance of the EarlyCDT Liver test, which measures circulating autoantibodies associated with hepatocellular cancer, for this prospective cohort.
