Azim Ansari
Azim is the co-lead on the host and virus genetics work package of DeLIVER. His research focus is understanding host pathogen interactions using genomic data and their impact on clinical outcome of infectious diseases. He has worked extensively on HCV and HBV infections which are the major causes of HCC worldwide. As part of DeLIVER he will assess the role of host and virus genetic factors in HCC development.
