Dear PEARL PIs and nursing leads,
We hope everyone had a super Easter break and bank holiday weekend. This is our second PEARL STUDY newsletter with an update as promised- Below is the latest “data” extracted from the bioanalysis portal directly at the end of last week.
Congratulations to the teams at Plymouth (Matthew C) and Georges (Dan F) for getting underway. And to Hull and Oxford for ongoing recruitment. It feels a way off yet before we meet the 3000 patient target — but great to be off the ground.
A reminder to sign up to the Face to Face study day Wednesday June 8th in Oxford -PIs, nurses and other key staff all welcome. We will reimburse reasonable travel costs and provide a nice lunch. We will discuss the study, but also some scientific findings from or relevant to the DeLIVER program -mostly it will be chance though to meet each other face to face. A list of sites that are coming is given below-would be great to see you all-drop us a line if you need more info/the invite resending etc.
As always, we are now on standby now to make the study as easy as possible to recruit to, and welcome feedback in real time of any issues regarding the study protocol, blood sampling or shipment of samples — and we will aim to fix these rapidly. So do drop us a line if things can be improved— we will welcome all reasonable complaints.
